Fundamentally, we are interactive designers, based in London, who design and build dynamic html and flash websites, flash games, photography, motion graphics & branding ...we have a little geeky side too that talks in our ear telling us to push the limits to see what happens.

Online, we can help you sell and market your product, increase traffic to your site and create a successful and complete online presence with branding, web design, flash games & ecommerce websites.

Offline, we can create branding, print advertisements and mail outs, dvds & photography, helping boost your exposure to potential clients and more importantly; making sure that message we get across is the right one.

We have experience of working at and with clients including BBC, LBi, Ogilvy, Digivate, Cimex, Mediacom & Digitas and others. We've had the pleasure of working with brands such as Coca-Cola, Channel4, Marks & Spencer, Sky, Fiat, Master foods, MTV, CBeebies, BBC THREE, Start-rite & the Royal Institute.

We are based in London, so most of our clients are in the big smoke. However, we also have clients up north in such exotic places as Derby & York.

We help big and small clients. We are very friendly and we love emails so get in touch!

Projects

become a Spook MediaCom for Universal

Once the user has followed a link from a placed YouTube video, they are granted access to Mi5's computer system giving users the chance to become a 'spook'. We helped design the UI and the mini-tools. We built it in a slick manner with sliding and semi-opaque windows so the user felt they were peeking into classified documents in order to find out who they could trust. We also did the database design some of the geeky php stuff too along with using the youTube video API.

we are the people we've been waiting for Elvis comms for Edge

We are the people movie is about the state of eductation in britain. The site is a massive 2D parallax of 'paths' which the user follows around in a nice flash interface. We coded the movie's site to a short turn around. It has quite a few talking heads with people like Richard Brandson and Henry Winkler ('the fonz' oh yeah).

Fujitsu Cloud GyroHSR for Fujitsu

Two facets to the same project here. First is a set of banners for Fujitsu's 'cloud' computing solution. The second we had to dust off the old photoshop skills and produce a mock up of a live projection animation.

Biological Hi-def video cd-rom Random42 for Vectibix

We were tasked by Random42, a specialist biological 3D rendering outfit in SoHo, to show off their new high-definition molecular animation in Cd-rom form. Luckily we didn't have to understand any of it.

Ben 10 Ultimate Alien mini-site Waste Creative for Cartoon Network

We coded this little mini-site in super quick time time ready for all 15 languages and 1000's of fans wanting to know about the latest in the Ben 10 line - the 'ultimate alien'.

We worked with Waste creative to create a site that has videos, games, Ben10 facts, favourite alien voting results and even loads of masks you can download and print out :)

Rock Band 3 website design and Flash player Bastion for MTV

We designed the Rockband 3 European websites (for UK, Germany, Sweden & France) and created and designed the new-look Flash video player which shows videos of the Rock Band games in action. The website is in multiple languages and inkeeping with the US Rock Band sites. We worked with agencies Bastion and Tamesis Digital to complete the project.

Chris Moose quiz Xscape

'Chris Moose' quiz (say it in a Scottish accent to get the pun ;) was a quick little quiz we developed for the Scottish agency JamHot. The questions are from a big XML set of varying degree of difficulty and all the text was updateable by the client at any time again via XML.

Chris Moose has a lot to say so we got the chance to dust off the animation skills for Chris when he is giving feedback and talking. The quiz also has a PHP/mySql high score system, which we built to complete the package.

Cadbury Buttons furry tales Chunk for Cadbury

Scottish agency Chunk tasked Transparent design with building 3 flash games for inclusion in Cadbury's new online children's book and activity website.

We created an animal piano game where we get to play follow the leader and copy a well know song or the player can just freestyle. The next mini game was a jigsaw game. But not just any jigsaw game, this one has advanced snapping to groups to aid the building process - just like you would with a real jigsaw. The last game was a nice and simple 'painting by numbers' type game where you colour in the supplied line drawing - no worrying about going outside the lines here :)

Touch screen presentation 2lk for HSBC

HSBC wanted a presentation tool to introduce the speakers of a major conference. The tool had to scale and work with 56" plasmas as well as touch screens and had to be updateable on the day by the people presenting it. So we built a presentation that scaled perfectly and was easily updateable via xml at any time, it was just what they needed.

Kitty DoLittle product viewer Kitty Dolittle

We created an hero product viewer for the main pages of www.kittydolittle.com. The viewer takes any number of products and lays them out in space to fit nicely and then shows each product at once with some nice animation. Simple and effective.

Natural Boutique e-commerce website Natural Boutique

We created this e-commerce website for Natural Boutique who sell natural, organic skincare and haircare. We created the branding which is aimed primarily at women in their 30s so feminine yet accessible. The site is simple to use but flexible as the company grows, plus there the company wanted to give skincare hints and tips as well as being solely a retailer in order to be more approachable and an expert in their field. We have been charge of the majority of the content & marketing including social media (Facebook & Twitter) and Google Adwords which are all helping build a friendly voice for this new online company.

Smarter than John Facebook application 1000heads for F-secure

To highlight F-Secure'sidentity theft program, we created a Facebook app that showed a video of John dropping his credit card on the floor for anyone to play with. The video then zooms into the card and the details warp into the facebook user's own name to highlight they may need F-Secure's product too.

> visit 'are you smarter than John?' on Facebook

Virgin Media interactive 3d world Elvis for Virgin

Virgin Media wanted to point out to everyone that they are better than Sky. They wanted to show, in an engaging way, all the breadth of content and cool stuff they have like video on demand and pausing live TV.

Virgin Media wanted it to be better than the 3D video fly through that Sky have (which amused us as we made the Sky one a year earlier). This was a short turnaround project, just under 3 weeks, as Virgin Media had a two stage launch plan. But we managed to do near enough everything they wanted for stage two but by the stage one deadline, creating an intuitive interactive 3d word - aren't we nice.

GIJoe games Waste for Paramount

We created 2 in-banner games for the launch of GIJoe the movie. In HALO dropzone you take control of our hero as he jumps high altitude and avoids the sky mines and flak on the way down. In Tank Commander you get a tank to fight your way through the village and out to saftey.

A few cool extra touches on these games are the smoke fumes that change colour and opacity based on the revs of the desiel engine and the real pyhsics of the drive tracks. No one asked for them, and it's a bit geeky, but we like it.

> Play HALO dropzone

Duracell's Summer Athletics game Waste for EA/Duracell

EA's Summer Athletics 2009 and Duracell got together and wanted an online experience to drive awareness of the game's launch and the new rechargeable batteries for the bunny ;)

Using Flash, we created 4 of the events from the main game each with a bespoke game engine and control system to give the player a taste of what was to come on the wii.

Flora by Gucci interactive fly-through Critical Mass for Gucci

Gucci's high standards were evident throughout the attention to detail in this project. Our flash development skills were needed to create highlights like the interactive 3D fly through of the 'flora' motif's history. We were also tasked with everything from html to After Effects work when needed - we like doing everything.

Fanta Crunk Off game AKQA for Fanta

In this viral web based game which we created in flash, for the Coca-Cola group, you 'crunk off' (dance off for oldies) against your dance opponent. You can challenge one of the computer dancers or get in there and throw the gauntlet down to your friends.

You get to choose your 3 best crunk moves in order. Then the challenge begins! You sit back and watch the show as your first move is played out. Then the computer (or your friend if they thought they had a chance of winning) tries to compete with their first move. The winner gets the round. They are three rounds and at the end you get to laugh in the face of the loser (which hopefully wasn't you).

M&M Full Colour Gaming Media Com for Masterfoods

The M&M'S full colour gaming site was for cross promotion for M&Ms with current EA Sports games. We were tasked to develop 3 physics based games along the lines of EA's finest... but using M&M'S rather than golf balls or cars!

We created 'need for speed' M&M racer where the user races the timed laps whilst trying to get to grips with the handling physics and the damage-able (hope that is a word) track. Some people even found the short cut ;)

'Tiger woods' golf is a little game you played on your virtual desk with a club fashioned out of a biro and some blu-tack that is used to pot the M&M in various 'holes' made of cups and other desktop furniture.

All games have an high score table and generated a lot of heated competition between the players (who clearly had little work to do that day whilst eating their M&Ms)

Quote Exchange Flash website Digivate for Quote Exchange

Quote Exchange wanted a fun way to lighten up the business of the quote comparison world. We created in Flash, a little world which allowed the users to explore the offered content while being entertained and charmed.

Transparent Design added nice little touches on top of the content exploration to make sure the user was there out of choice; little things like the working toaster (jam sold separately) and some movable fridge magnet letters - our record is 4 rude words.

Sky Heroes season 3d world AKQA for Sky

For Sky's 'Heroes' season of programming, Sky wanted a 3D world where the user flies around past videoscreens of their promoted programmes. We made a light weight module in Flash that allowed the user to interact and zoom around the space and into small trailers for each programme.

The module was nice and re-usable, so they, re-used it again for their 'As it should be' campaign. We like recycling.

Fiat 500 launch game AKQA for Fiat

Fiat wanted a quirky site for the launch of their new Fiat 500 to extend their showroom site. Hosted by Danny Wallace, the mini-site which we built in Flash ran for 21 days and had a different item as a theme each day and a quiz based on each item.

We also produced some nice dynamic banners that counted down 'how many sleeps' until the Fiat 500 was unleashed on the public.

Digitas Xmas email game Digitas self promotion

Digitas wanted a fun game to send out as their 'Christmas card'. Together we developed a game where the player has a hammer, in front of the hammer are lots of characters taking it in turn to sing very badly. I think you get the game play from here :)

Barilla fly through Digitas for Barilla

We created a 3D fly through of hi-res still images of scenes from the Barilla world (nice people eating Barilla food, in short). A lot of heavy rendering later and we have a 2 minute movie showcasing the products in various cities around the world.

Ericsson Nobel Prize stings Digitas for Ericsson

Ericsson wanted a 5 seconds bumper sting for the live broadcast of the Nobel Prizes from Stockholm. We were working with London agency Digitas who developed the idea of thought bubbles to show the 'taking ideas further' for Ericsson. 5 seconds is not a lot when 1.5 of that has to be the Ericsson logo, so we developed a smooth and gentle thought bubble which 'bubbles' (for want of a better phrase) onto screen without being to harsh as the viewers would be watching this about 12 times and we didn't want to jarr them but to entice them to read our message.

BT IT banners Ogilvy for BT

At transparent design we also do quick, little small jobs. This project was a set of banners for BT showing how cool their IT support is.

A straight forward job that involved filming people acting the parts and then drawing/animating in flash to get get down to the tiny file sizes demanded by media publishers.
